Dr. John Bethell

John graduated from medical school in Aberdeen, Scotland and moved to Australia as a junior doctor in 1991. After starting his first recruitment business in 1994 he joined Morgan & Banks, Sydney in 1996 eventually working as the manager of the healthcare division. At M&B John’s portfolio included medical and pharmaceutical, including executive search. John has been a Director of Wavelength since inception in 1999.

Claire Ponsford

Claire has a BA(Hons) degree and a business diploma in management. She spent 6 years working in various HR and management roles within a regional health service and hospital in the United Kingdom before re-locating to Australia in 1996. In Sydney she obtained medical workforce-planning experience for the NSW Health Department prior to joining the healthcare recruitment team at Morgan and Banks (later Hudson). At M&B Claire's portfolio covered medical and healthcare management recruitment including some executive search work. She launched Wavelength with John in 1999 as a founding director.

Richard Taylor

Originally from the UK Richard has extensive recruitment experience, most recently as the team leader of the HR Division of one of Australias largest tier 1 recruitment firms. Richard joined Wavelength with a mandate to build a division placing candidates in Singapore, UK, Ireland, Canada and the Middle East.

Kelly Doran

Kelly has a Bachelor of Nursing and has worked as a registered nurse for a number of years, in both the public and private sector, before joining Wavelength in February 2005. Kelly was initially the sole recruitment consultant in the locum division and after driving significant growth within the portfolio, she was then promoted to Division Manager of the locum team in 2006. After successfully growing the Locum Division to a team of 11, Kelly was recently appointed to the Business Manager role for both the GP and Locum Divisions.

Rebecca Plaza

Rebecca joined Wavelength in November 2008 to establish the Executive Division. Graduating with a Bachelor of Business her career commenced in marketing however since 2002 she has been a professional recruiter working for a number of industry-leading listed companies. Her experience includes assisting top-tier corporations with selective senior management assignments, including executive search in overseas markets.

Rebecca specialises in placing Medical Directors and Nursing Executives into substantive and locum placements with hospitals, aged care facilities and private practices across Australia and New Zealand.

Karla Leary

Karla joined Wavelength International in May 2007. Prior to this, Karla earned 7 years Australian recruiting experience within the Commercial Accounting sector. Initially her role focused on attracting qualified accountants from overseas. She then worked closely with some major clients in an account management capacity recruiting within their finance teams.

Karla is the Division Manager for the successful Specialist Division within Wavelength focusing on clients and candidates within Australasia and overseas.


Emma Gordon

Emma joined Wavelength International in 2008 having relocated to Australia from the UK where she gained extensive HR and recruitment experience having worked in various industry sectors over the past 10 years.

Emma initially started out at Wavelength International as the Specialist Division Para Consultant, supporting the recruitment team. She was soon promoted and is now focused on a portfolio of clients and candidates including pathology, paediatrics as well as medical & surgical specialties.

Nicola has over 8 years experience in recruitment covering  a number of sectors including teachers, doctors, social workers and allied health staff. She ran the NZ/Australia branch of a UK based health recruitment company for six years before joining Wavelength in 2006. She spent the first year at Wavelength working with junior doctors and then a further three years in the specialist team working with medical consultants in all specialties, paediatricians, emergency specialists and anaesthetists. She has recently re-joined the junior and middle grade team.

Sarah Walton

Sarah joined Wavelength in December 2006, and from mid-2007 has been responsible for building and developing the locum GP portfolio across Australia. She now specialises in GP/SMO locum recruitment across hospitals, medical centers, correctional centers and indigenous health organisations in Queensland. Prior to joining Wavelength, Sarah had 3 years recruitment experience across a range of different industries. She studied Japanese at UNSW and is also an Accredited Member of the RCSA.



Sara Dawson

Sara joined the GP team in March 2008. She has a BA in English Literature and Media Communications and worked in a busy role recruiting for large events in the UK before relocating to Australia in 2005. Before joining Wavelength she gained a broad exposure to the Australian market by managing the placement of both temporary and permanent corporate staff into a variety of industries. Sara now specialises in coordinating GP/SMO placements throughout NSW and WA.



Karman Lee

Karman joined Wavelength in February 2009 to support the GP locum team and now specialises in the placement of GP locums throughout ACT, NT, SA, VIC, TAS and New Zealand. Karman graduated from the University of Auckland with a BCom majoring in International Business and Marketing. After her studies she travelled through the United States, Canada, Ireland the UK where she worked as recruitment coordinator in one of the world's leading accountancy firms.


Jane Stanke

Jane joined Wavelength in June 2008 after migrating from Germany to Australia. Having initially started out as the permanent GP Para Consultant, she now specialises in the placement of long term and permanent general practitioners to clinics and hospitals throughout Australia and New Zealand. Jane lived and studied in New Zealand in 2005 before moving to Australia, and having relocated overseas twice has proved extremely beneficial in her dealings with doctors who are thinking of moving on a permanent basis, as she is able to discuss her experiences with them first-hand.



Anna Goater

Anna joined the Wavelength GP team in 2011 after 3.5 years working with a marketing recruitment agency based in London and Sydney. She studied Law at Cardiff University before travelling and relocating to Sydney in 2009.  Anna works alongside Jane specialising in the the placement of long term and permanent general practitioners to clinics and hospitals throughout Australia.

Technician for 5 years before relocating to Sydney. She
joined Wavelength in 2004 and started recruiting overseas
trained SHOs. Since 2006 Amber has focused on the
recruitment of Locum Specialists.

Claudine Zaarour

Claudine has a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Macquarie University as well as a Diploma in Human Resources. Claudine joined Wavelength in 2005, starting in the Junior team, recruiting overseas doctors for permanent positions in Australia and New Zealand. In 2006, she joined the locum team, first looking after the junior doctors, then adding Anaesthetists to her list of charges. Claudine has 6 years recruiting experience behind her.
 




Rebecca Doyle

Rebecca graduated from The University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) in 1999. With a desire to work in the health sector, she took a role at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney in the Human Resources Department. Her most recent role at SVH was as a Human Resources / Industrial Relations Officer. Rebecca commenced with Wavelength in July 2005. 

  

Lisa Maggiolini

Lisa graduated from the University of Sussex, UK, with a Bachelors Degree (first-class honours) in Psychology and Management Studies. Shortly after, she travelled to Australia, via the USA and Pacific Islands, to work as a team co-ordinator at a multi-national listed recruitment firm in Sydney. She joined Wavelength in 2007 and is now a recruitment consultant focused on placing junior doctors in short-term and shift by shift locums throughout Australia & New Zealand.
 		  

Carole Paterson

Carole graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and
worked within Healthcare recruitment in the UK before
travelling to the United States and Australia in 2004.
She has remained in Australia working initially in the
equine recruitment sector before joining Wavelength in
early 2008. Carole is now a recruitment consultant with
the junior doctor team focusing on locum placements
throughout Australia and New Zealand.

His most recent focus has been working with  hospitals in Australia to recruit locum consultant surgeons and radiologists.

Nicole specialises in placing surgeons and radiologists into locum placements with hospitals and private practices throughout Australia. 

 

Carly Sanderson

Having relocated from the UK in 2005, Carly started her recruitment career with a large global agency specialised in recruiting both temporary and permanent corporate real estate professionals across the Sydney market. Carly joined Wavelength in June 2008 and currently recruits locum medical specialist throughout Australia and New Zealand. Her portfolio of clients and candidates include medical sub-specialties, emergency medicine, paediatrics, pathology and radiology.

Tara Wylie

Tara joined Wavelength's International Division in October 2010. After completing her Bachelor of Business, Tara relocated to Beijing which she used as a base to travel throughout Asia undertaking volunteer work. She commenced her recruitment career in 2009 within the hospitality industry before moving to Wavelength where she now specialises in the recruitment of specialist consultants into Singapore. Tara has developed an in depth knowledge of the Singaporean health system and the complex nature of their recruitment and medical registration processes.

With 2 years experience working within the migration industry, Ariel joined Wavelength International in 2007. She is currently the Division Manager of the Migration Services team and is responsible for the case management of a diverse range of professional registration and visa applications. These include temporary and permanent residence visas specialising in the healthcare sector. Ariel holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Cum Laude) from the United States as well as a Graduated Certificate in Migration Law (HD) and a Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment from Australia.


Samantha Darbison

Samantha has come from a contract tendering and compliance background. She was involved in vendor management and tender evaluation at Woolworths - one of the largest retail companies in Australia and New Zealand. Samantha has also completed further education in Hospitality and Human Resource Management. She has been with Wavelength since 2006 and completed her Graduate Certificate in Migration Law in 2009 and is now a Registered Migration Agent for Australia. Samantha supports the GP team with their regulatory and migration requirements.

Sanja Janjic

Sanja has over 4 years of experience in migration and has previously worked in a small boutique law firm specialising in corporate migration as well as corporate law. She joined Wavelength in April last year and assists the Perm Specialist team with both their Regulatory and Migration needs. Sanja has graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor degree in Business Management as well as Law, and has completed part of her Business degree in Canada.


Elinor Faulkner

Elinor has a Masters in Biology from the University of Bath and, prior to joining Wavelength, worked for Nature Publishing Group producing top-quality scientific journals. Originally from the UK, Elinor has also spent a year working in New Zealand before experiencing the migration process first hand and becoming a permanent resident in Australia. With a keen eye for detail, she works with the Regulatory team to ensure a smooth transition for our overseas doctors.
