Charitable Affiliations

Wavelength International is proud to support Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Wavelength International focuses on the healthcare sector because we feel that our work will ultimately benefit the broader community. As further commitment to this goal we partner with charitable organisations that exemplify this philosophy through the delivery of healthcare solutions to communities in need.

We sponsor and make regular financial donations to the following organisations:

Medecins Sans Frontieres

Every year millions of people suffer the devastating effects of war, natural disaster, famine and disease. Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) send volunteers, doctors, surgeons, nurses, psychologists, anaesthetists, engineers and logistics staff to provide direct and practical medical assistance where it is most needed.

Wavelength was sponsor of the MSF “Too Poor to Treat” photographic exhibition. This exhibition highlighted diseases that do not attract research attention from pharmaceutical companies because the typical patient does not have the financial capacity to pay for the treatment.

Fred Hollows Foundation

The Fred Hollows Foundation is a not-for-profit, community-based, non-government development aid organisation that believes everyone has the right to sight. They are dedicated to facilitating comprehensive, quality eye care, with a focus on cataract treatment.

The Foundation was established in 1992 to continue the work of the late Professor Fred Hollows, through skills training programs and the development of new technologies. The Foundation has helped to restore the sight of over 1,000,000 people worldwide.

Wavelength International is a pledge donor and a founding member of 'The Miracle Club'. Most recently the staff at Wavelength raised money for FHF when we entered a team in the 2007 Sydney “City to Surf” 14km fun run. We raised a total of $2,500 in pledges.
